01 / Company

An engineering practice that also runs the shop floor

NMECH Engineering is an engineering and manufacturing company based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We build customised industrial equipment, water and wastewater treatment systems, process equipment and precision fabricated assemblies.

Most equipment problems are not solved by picking a model from a catalogue. They are solved by understanding the process first, then sizing, selecting materials and detailing the fabrication around it. That is the work we do, and because design and fabrication sit in the same hands, what gets drawn is what can actually be built.

We supply individual equipment as well as complete skid based assemblies, tested before they leave the works.

02 / Expertise

What we engineer

Twelve areas where we design, size and build equipment to the duty rather than to a standard model.

Water treatment plants

Systems sized from the raw water analysis and the required output quality.

Effluent treatment plants

ETP built to the effluent load and the discharge limits at the site.

Sewage treatment plants

STP for industrial premises, townships and commercial buildings.

Reverse osmosis plants

RO with pretreatment matched to the feed water, not a fixed package.

Sand and multimedia filtration

Pressure filters with media selection and correct underdrain design.

Chemical dosing systems

Accurate dosing with the wetted materials chosen for the chemical.

Industrial agitators and mixers

Impeller and shaft selected for the duty, checked for deflection.

Micro powder feeders

Controlled feed of fine and low density powders at small rates.

SS 316 equipment and fabrication

Stainless fabrication where corrosion and hygiene decide the material.

Customised skid fabrication

Pre piped, pre wired skids so site work stays short.

Industrial process equipment

Vessels, tanks and assemblies built to the process conditions.

Specialised engineering projects

One off equipment where nothing off the shelf fits the requirement.

04 / Manufacturing

Made in our own facility

Fabrication happens at our works at Divine Industrial Estate, Bakrol, near Ahmedabad. Keeping manufacturing in house is what lets us take on equipment that has never been built before: drawings can be corrected at the bench, fit up problems get solved the same day, and nothing waits in a subcontractor's queue.

We have particular capability in SS 316 fabrication and in skid mounted assemblies where piping, pumps, instrumentation and the frame all have to come together within a fixed footprint.

  • 01Sheet and plate cutting, rolling and forming for vessels, hoppers and housings
  • 02TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and mild steel, with pickling and passivation
  • 03Machining of shafts, hubs, flanges and mounting components
  • 04Skid frame fabrication, piping, valve and instrument mounting
  • 05Mechanical assembly, alignment and trial running before dispatch
  • 06Surface finishing, painting and dispatch packing for export

05 / Engineering

Analysis before fabrication

Custom equipment carries risk that catalogue equipment does not. We reduce it by checking the design numerically before anything is cut.

  • Structural analysis in ANSYS Mechanical

Stress, deflection and modal checks on shafts, vessels, supports and frames, so components are sized on evidence rather than on rule of thumb.

  • Flow analysis with CFD

Mixing patterns, velocity distribution and flow behaviour studied where the process depends on how the fluid actually moves.

  • 3D modelling and detailing

Full models of the equipment and the skid layout, with clash checks, before fabrication drawings are released.

  • Sizing and material selection

Capacity, duty point and material grade chosen against the operating conditions, the chemical and the space available.

06 / Approach

How a project runs

Five stages, each closed out before the next one starts.

  1. Stage 1

    Understand

Process, duty, chemical, capacity, site constraints and what the equipment has to achieve.

  2. Stage 2

    Design

Concept, sizing, material selection and layout within the available footprint.

  3. Stage 3

    Engineer

3D model, analysis where it matters, then fabrication drawings and a bill of materials.

  4. Stage 4

    Fabricate

Manufacturing at our own works, with inspection at each stage of assembly.

  5. Stage 5

    Deliver

Trial run, packing, dispatch documentation and support through installation.

08 / Markets
